"Building the wireless age" is a exhibition hosted for the first time at Chelmsford, Essex, UK wthin the very building where Marconi Industries made radio broadcasting possible. Week ends opening till 29 May 2016. Conferences to explore Marconi's unique experience.
The birthplace of radio is open on Saturdays and Sundays at 11 a.m.-3 p.m. local time, free entrance.
Events and conferences are planned to mark some developments of radio as well as Marconi's activity in Britain.
On Thursday, 5 May 2016 from 19:30 to 21:00 Danielle George, Professor of Radio Frequency Engineering at The University of Manchester will talk about the impact of Marconi on the World of Radio Astronomy and the new age of intrumentation: The Square Kilometer Array (SKA). The potential discoveries made by the SKA will widen the scope and profound implications of Marconi's invention.
BBC Essex will also take part in the exhibition events; a live show will be produced at Chelmsford on Saturday 7 May at 2 p.m.
