Trasmissions

As from 23.50 UTC on 2 June 2017 (01.50 on 3 June local time in Italy) Rai Radio 1 is hosting a weekly newscast in English, "Seven days in Italy".
Following the tv programme 'Weekly News' (Rainews24, Friday-Saturday-Sunday just before 21.00 UTC (23.00 hours in Italy) radio edition 'Seven Days in Italy' starts this week at the end of "Tra poco in edicola", a nightly press review on Radio 1. The English newscast on main Italian events of the week is aired on Friday at about 23.50 UTC (01.50 local on Saturday Italian time).
The programme is aired on Medium Wave 900 and 1107 kHz, the latter on local service in Rome; on the FM and DAB networks in Italy and available on Rainews.it.
Reporters Mariaceleste de Martino and Helen Viola are the voices of "Sevem Days in Italy", the first foreign language newscast after the International services of Rai ended abruptly in 2007 and the nightly "Notturno dall'Italia" was discontinued some years after.
Unsufficient medium wave coverage and no short wave available deeply affect the programme.
