Medium wave service from Radio Capodistria [2] (Italian Programme 1170 kHz) is suspended as from today 8 May 2018 until 15 hours UTC on Friday 10 May 2018. Maintanance works are under way at Croce Bianca transmitter.
Medium wave 1170 kHz is one of the best Italian speaking area frequencies, covering North Adriatic, parts of Italian peninsula and Dalmatian coast. Locally (North Western Istria and neighboring Friuli Venezia Giulia region, around Triest) FM listening is also possible on 97.70, 103.10, 103.60 MHz.
The Italian programme of Radio Capodistria [3] is also aired via satellite: Eutelsat Hot Bird, 13 deg. East, 12520 MHz V, 27500, 3/4 and via the Internet on
Listeners also confirm 549 kHz (Radio Koper, Slovenian language programme) is not operational. Works are underway at Croce Bianca (Beli Kriz, in Slovenian) transmitter, in Pirano (Piran, in Slovenian).
Radio Capodistria is a Regional studio of RTV Slovenia broadcasting for Italian and Slovenian communities in the bilingual area of North Adriatic.
