2 Italian Short Newscasts from the Voice of Greece

Two Italian short newscasts are now included within the foreign language schedule of the Voice of Greece, listeners confirm. After the station resumed shortwave broadcasts following some days of silence, Italian seems to have left 12.00 UTC to earlier timings at 07.50 and 09.05 UTC.

On 6 January 2015, Vatican Radio will broadcast live from St. Peter's Basilica the Holy Mass for the Epiphany, starting at 08.55 UTC. At 11.00 UTC the Pope address and blessing. Short waves to Africa, Europe.

Starting at 08.55 UTC Vatican Radio will broadcast live from Saint Peter's Basilica the Holy Mass presided by Pope Francis on the Holy Virgin's Solemnity, World Peace Day 2016, 1 January. Shortwave to Africa and the Middle East.

On Christmas night (20.25 UTC, 24 December 2015) Vatican Radio starts a long special broadcasts schedule covering celebrations at St. Peter's Square, the Vatican, Rome. Multilingual commentaries. Short waves operational to Africa and, partly, to Europe and Asia.

HFCC Public Datas for B-15 period, starting on 25 October, have been released on 14 October 2015. Shortwave frequencies registered for their Italian programmes by Albania, AWR, China, Turkey, Egypt, Iran, Romania, the Vatican.

The International Channel of Tunisian Radio (RTCI) has released its newest broadcasting schedule. Foreign language broadcasts including Italian (14.03 UTC) and English (13.03 UTC) are aired on 963 kHz medium wave. Quite good signals reported from Southern Italy, Central and WEST Mediterranean.

China Radio International left 702 kHz at Monte Carlo

As from 1 August 2015 China Radio International stopped relaying their broadcasts from Monte Carlo transmitter (in French territory) 702 kHz in French, Chinese and Italian languages. A local FM frequency was also discontinued.

Later today 31 July 2015 the Serbian International Radio, formerly Radio Yugoslavia, ends its broadcasts for ever. The employees thank all listeners "from all over the world, for having trusted us all these years! Radio Yugoslavia – International Radio Serbia now greets you and signs off." Italian, English and programmes in 9 other languages ended.

Italian news have been regularly on air, earlier this morning Monday 29 June 2015. At 05.45 UTC the programme was aired after the Italian resistance song "Bella Ciao" on 9420 kHz.

WRMI Radio Miami International is also rebroadcasting a Italian programme (Made in Italy) joining local stations around the world. Weekly edition is aired on shortwave from Okeechobee, Florida, transmitters on 31 and 19 mb. Made in Italy is addressed to the Italian speaking listeners, and to all those who love Italy in the World, and are interested in the “Italian way of life”, the station announced on their Facebook profile.

Voice of Greece re-established a short newscast in Italian on SW 9420 kHz at 05.45 UTC. The new multilingual news from Athens appreared after ERT, the Greek public broadcaster, was newly formed.
A Italian programme existed on ERT until more than 10 years ago.

Serbian International Radio would end its 79 years long history on 30 June 2015. No chance of survival for International broadcasting from Serbia, formerly Radio Yugoslavia, sources in Belgrade report to Italradio.

Pope Francis Visiting Sarajevo, Short Wave Coverage

Pope Francis will visit Bosnia on Saturday 6 June 2015. Vatican Radio will cover the whole event. At 08.45 UTC short wave will be active to broadcast Pope's Mass at Sarajevo Stadium. During his 12 hours visit, Pope Francis will meet with Bosnian bishops, members of the presidency and the representatives of other religious communities in the country. Pilgrims are expected also from neighboring countries to attend the main events.

Serbian International Radio workers started a street protest as they learned about a plan by Belgrade government to step down broadcasts on 30 June 2015 after a re-organisation of Serbian radio and tv according to new regulations. Serbian International Radio broadcasts in 12 languages, including Italian and English.

Julian Calendar Easter Sunday on Vatican Radio

On Sunday 12 April 2015 communities in the Christian East celebrate Easter according to the Julian calendar, just a week after the Gregorian calendar date. Vatican Radio is broadcasting special lithurgyc programmes in the Ukrainian and Armenian languages, the latter presided by Pope Francis on the occasion of the Catholic-Armenian pilgrimage in Rome remembering the tragedy of the Armenian people in 1915.

Listeners inform AFN signals have disappeared in Verona. Both FM frequencies seem to be off, one with RDS ID the other available only at times with very low signal.

China Radio International MW Relay in Albania Off Air

Listeners confirm China Radio International programmes relayed from Albanian MW transmitter in Fllake are off. Both frequencies, 1215 and 1458 kHz, affected. In Italy a further MW frequency from a relay in Montecarlo (702 kHz) is now heard with signal weaker than usual.
